Privacy policy
Effective from November 2, 2026
Partha helps small businesses run their sales, stock and prices. This page explains in plain words what we keep about you, why, and what you can do about it.
Who we are
Partha is run by Partha Ltd. We decide how your account data is used, so we are its “controller” (in some countries, its “operator”). In this policy, “we” means Partha Ltd.
The information your business enters about its own customers, stock and sales belongs to your business. We only store and process it for you, on your instructions. Your business is responsible for having the right to enter it and for telling its own customers how it uses their data.
What we collect
Only what we need to run Partha:
- Account data: your name, your email address, and a protected form of your password if you use one.
- Data your business enters: businesses, points, items, prices, stock, sales, and the details of customers and staff that you choose to add.
- Google sign-in data: if you choose “Continue with Google”, Google tells us your name, your email address and a number that identifies your Google account. We never receive your Google password.
- Technical data: your IP address, browser and device type, and the time of your requests, which we use to keep Partha secure. If something breaks, an error report is sent to Sentry. It holds technical details only, never your name, email or phone.
Why we use it, and on what basis
We use your data only for these purposes:
- To provide Partha to you and your business: sign you in, run sales, stock and prices, and send the emails the service needs, such as confirming your email address. Basis: this is needed to carry out our agreement with you (contract).
- To keep Partha secure, prevent abuse, and find and fix errors. Basis: our legitimate interest in running a safe and reliable service.
- To sign you in with Google, only if you choose it. Basis: your consent, which you can withdraw at any time by signing in another way.
- To follow the law, for example by keeping records that the law requires. Basis: legal obligation.
We do not use your data for advertising and we do not sell it.
Who we share it with
We do not sell your data and we do not show advertising. We share data only with:
- The people in your business that you give access to, at the level of access you choose.
- Our hosting provider, Google Cloud, where Partha is stored and runs.
- Google, for sign-in, only if you choose “Continue with Google”. The Google button loads from Google, so Google can see that you opened the sign-in page.
- Sentry, which receives technical error reports (without name, email or phone).
These companies act on our instructions. We may also share data when the law or a court requires it.
Where your data is stored
Every market where Partha is offered has its own separate environment with its own database. Your data stays in the environment of the market where your business uses Partha and is not moved to other markets.
The only data that may be handled outside your market is what you choose to send through Google sign-in and the technical error reports described above, which contain no name, email or phone.
How long we keep it
We keep your data while your account is active.
When an account is closed, we delete or anonymise its data within 30 days. Copies in our backups are overwritten as the backups roll off, within a further 35 days.
Some records must be kept longer because the law requires it, for example accounting records; we keep those only for the period the law sets. Sign-in sessions end after a while or when you sign out.
How we protect it
Connections to Partha are encrypted. Passwords are stored only in a protected form that we cannot read back. People in a business see only what their role allows, and our own access is limited to those who need it to run the service. Error reports are cleaned of personal details before they leave Partha. No online service can promise perfect security, but we work to keep your data safe and will tell you if a breach affects you, as the law requires.
Your rights
You can ask us at any time to:
- show you the data we hold about you (access);
- correct data that is wrong (correction);
- delete your data (deletion);
- give you a copy of your data in a common format (export);
- stop or limit how we use it, or object to a use based on our legitimate interest (objection);
- stop using Google sign-in for your account (withdraw consent).
To use any of these rights, write to us using the contact details at the end of this page. We will answer within one month, and we may ask you to prove who you are first. If your data was entered by a business, we may pass your request to that business.
If you are not happy with how we handle your data, you can complain to the data-protection authority in your country.
Cookies and browser storage
Partha saves a few small items in your browser. They are needed for the service to work: they keep you signed in (your session) and remember your choices such as language, currency and table columns. Partha sets them itself and does not use them to track you.
If you use Google sign-in, Google may set its own cookies when its button and sign-in window load. Google controls those.
With your consent, we use Google Analytics on the public pages of Partha (the homepage, the terms and this policy) to count visits and see which pages people read. Google then sets analytics cookies in your browser and receives data such as the pages you open, your approximate location and your device. If you decline, no analytics cookie is saved, and Google receives at most an anonymous signal that a page was opened. We do not use advertising cookies, and we do not use analytics inside the signed-in app.
You can delete these items in your browser settings, but then you will be signed out and your choices forgotten.
Children
Partha is made for businesses and is not meant for children under 16. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you think a child has given us data, contact us and we will delete it.
Changes to this policy
When we change this policy, we publish the new text here with a new date. If a change matters to you, we also tell you by email or in the app before it applies.
